Novel tissue interactions support the evolution of placentation

چکیده
Organ development occurs through the coordinated interaction of distinct tissue types. So, a question at core understanding evolution new organs is, how do tissue-tissue signalling networks arise? The placenta is great model for organs, because placentas have evolved repeatedly, relatively recently in some lineages, and exhibit intermediate forms extant clades. Placentas, like other form from two tissues, one maternal fetal. If each these tissues produces signals that can be received by other, then apposition likely to result dynamics used as scaffold support development. Using published data examples, this review I demonstrate are derived hormonally active considerable potential exists between fetal egg-laying vertebrates, conserved oviparity-viviparity transition, consequences interactions basis aspects placentation including embryo implantation. argue placental not merely consequence formation, but novel regulatory networks, functions, patterning mechanisms.

15 صفحه اولThe evolution of viviparity and placentation revisited.
Most studies on the evolution of viviparity in squamate reptiles have focused on one or more of the following questions: (1) what selective force(s) are involved in the transition from oviparity to viviparity? (2) how does this transition occur (i.e., what changes are involved)? and (3) how and when does placentation evolve? In answer to the first of these questions, most studies have implicate...
متن کاملElephant Transcriptome Provides Insights into the Evolution of Eutherian Placentation
The chorioallantoic placenta connects mother and fetus in eutherian pregnancies. In order to understand the evolution of the placenta and provide further understanding of placenta biology, we sequenced the transcriptome of a term placenta of an African elephant (Loxodonta africana) and compared these data with RNA sequence and microarray data from other eutherian placentas including human, mous...

The most important part of neutron therapy treatment (NCT1) is to achieve a beam of neutrons with suitable energy and intensity, as well as the least pollution and damage. In this study, in order to correct the neutron spectrum from D-D fusion and its use in neutron therapy, a set of different materials which are called the Beam Shaping Assembly (BSA) was placed in the direction of energy 2.45 ...
